The Senior Dog House and Rescue is a non profit organization in the State of Montana.
Since many of the dogs here are seniors, it can take longer to find them new, adoptive homes. While waiting, they still need to be fed, extra medical attention may be needed, regular grooming, etc. and these fees are not covered by the Vet fees charged for each dog. The Vet fees are just that, the costs required to spay, neuter, bring shots current, dentals, wormings, etc. and do not cover the daily care costs. Some dogs coming into this rescue need a great deal of vetting and their costs can be higher than most people are willing to pay to adopt a dog. A sponsor or donation for all or part of their fees really helps them be deemed more adoptable and helps them find homes faster. Also, many of the seniors will remain here for one reason or another and live out their lives as part of the "rescue pack". They still need to be cared for daily and help for them is greatly appreciated.SDHR PO Box 2216 Bigfork, MT 59911 |
